Once widespread across Australia, the Bilby is a rare sight, largely due to predation by feral cats and foxes, plus the invasion of rabbits. It is estimated that there are less than 10,000 Bilbies nationwide and are mostly scattered throughout Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.

The Bilby has become an Australian symbol for Easter and for hope for our native Australian animals.
